Wise snacks are boldly seizing on the food truck craze by introducing two new flavors of their popular new Food Truck Favorite potato chip line, featuring an eye-catching new design. The first two flavors in this offering will be Loaded Chili Cheese Dog and Beef Barbacoa Tacos inspired by popular New York City food truck Papaya King and Boston’s North East of the Border food trucks, respectively.

This venture into food truck-inspired flavors was strategically aimed at gaining the loyalty of millennial consumers, who are a large part of the growing food truck boom. How significant is food truck growth? According to the National Restaurant Association, food truck revenues are estimated to reach $2.7 billion by 2017. But first things first, how do you recreate the food truck experience on a bag of chips.

Wise foods partnered with New York and Boston based Source Communication to discover the best food trucks to use for inspiration. Once Papaya King and North East of the Border had been selected they called on Perspective: Branding to create the enticing packaging design. Featuring vivid colors – including a riveted metallic design reminiscent of a food truck’s side panel, mouth watering imagery and a prominently displayed Wise logo, Food Truck Favorites bags give the consumer a familiar food truck feel.

Consumers who enjoy the new Food Trucks Favorites flavors will be happy to know that Wise plans to rotate flavors every six months, based on public opinion of what the next flavor should be.
