Artist Ryan McGinness has created a unique package design for the new Hennessy V.S Limited Edition cognac. The bottle’s fluorescent colors glow under black light.

The latest limited edition cognac is the fifth in a series of artist-designed bottles. Hennessy has partnered with critically claimed artists such as KAWS, Futura, Os Gemeos, and Shepard Fairey. McGinness said that his style of combining elements to form “mixtures” mirrors Hennessy’s style of Cognac creation. “The shared approach to our crafts is part science and part art,” McGinness said.

McGinness redesigned the coat of arms and other brand icons to complement the fluorescent pattern. He used visual symbology—a trademark of the New York-based artist—to highlight fine print information on the back of the label.

The 750-milliliter limited edition bottle—as well as a limited number of commemorative gift boxes—are now available online and at select retailers nationwide. The deluxe set includes two individually numbered bottles with variations of McGinness’ design, an informational booklet and two coasters.
