Flexible packaging company ConservaCube LLC has launched its ConservaCube and FlexiPAIL standup pouches with a new zipper closure. The company said the pouches are designed for dry, free-flowing products and will be available in sizes from a six inch cube to a 12-by-13-by-17.5-inch package.
The Kent, Ohio-based company said the two pouches reduce up-front packaging costs and maximize pallet loads to save freight and improve sustainability. The company stressed that the pouches can be easily recycled because they are made of a single substrate. The pouches’ large display panels also enhance shelf appeal and branding, ConservaCube said.
According to the company, ConservaCube can be used for products in the food, pet, lawn and garden, household, chemical and other industries to replace bags, pouches and bag-in-box packages. FlexiPAIL can replace rigid pails, providing up-front cost savings and reducing package materials by up to 90 percent, the company added.
ConservaCube said the pouches’ polyethylene film can be printed with up to ten colors in flexographic or gravure printing. The four-to-five-millimeter thick film can be supplemented with additional barrier properties, the company said.
