Next month, the Food Information Regulation will go into effect in the UK and alter the way retailers must label their food products. Eco Packaging company Planglow has created a new fold-over label design to better accommodate this change and step up previous design elements in the process.

Because the new labeling regulations require that the presence of 14 potential allergens be labeled, more space is needed on the pack. For Planglow, this posed a potential problem as even its largest labels wouldn’t be able to fit such information. Instead, Planglow has increased label size and shape with its new Gastro Nutri Label line, which folds from one package surface to an adjoining one. In total, there are 20 new packaging items to be released with brand-specific designs.
