Nonni’s Foods has launched new brand packaging for its Nonni’s Biscotti products. The new design showcases the unique ingredients of each biscotti variety.
No longer tucked away in the backdrop, images of almonds, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee bits, lemon zest and other ingredients join the image of biscotti at the forefront of the package. The top of the box features calorie information and a list of ingredients. The new transparent window on the front of each box allows consumers to preview the individually-wrapped treats.
The redesign also features Nonni’s new tagline, “Real Ingredients, No Compromises.” Nonni’s new logo includes the phrases “Artisan Baked” and “Italian Inspired” as well as “1988,” the bakery’s founding year. The back of the new package contains the story of the Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois-based company.
The new brand packaging design has been applied to all Nonni’s Biscotti grocery pack varieties: Originali, Salted Caramel, Cioccolati, Dark Chocolate Almond, Limone, Toffee Almond, Triple Chocolate and Turtle Pecan.
Using images and lists to highlight ingredients seems to be a trend for food packaging. Recently, Unilever updated its Klondike Kones packaging to focus on “taste appeal.” The designers added custom photography and an ingredient list to emphasize the product’s flavors and maximize shelf-appeal.
