Adhesive coating and laminating company FLEXcon has announced the launch of optiFlex Reseal Barrier Clear, a new polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) coated packaging film that serves as a moisture barrier. Given its ability to prevent drying, packaging applications for optiFlex include fresh foods and wet wipes.

In addition to its moisture retention properties, the film offers tear resistance and durability for repeated opening and reclosure. FLEXcon designed the new film to have a no-label-look for brands that aim to highlight product appearance.
Michelle Lamontagne, a market development specialist in Product Identification at FLEXcon said:

“As the use of resealable packaging continues to increase, there is a growing need in the food market for packaging materials that enhance shelf life by maintaining food freshness. The barrier properties of the PVDC-coated polypropylene provide moisture control ideal for these purposes, and this product serves as an example of our continued effort to meet the unique needs of the food packaging market.”
