Frito-Lay has launched a new promotional packaging campaign for the summer. Part of its “Lay’s Summer Days” promotion, the “Lay’s Summer Bag Creator” – a social media tool — allows consumers to upload their personal photos and view them on bags of Lay’s potato chips.

The first 10,000 users will receive an actual chip bag featuring their custom photo and caption. All other entrants will receive a digital version of their bag to share on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

“The ”Lay’s Summer Days” promotion is a way for us to celebrate our fans and the season by personalizing their connection with the brand in [a] fun, unique way,” said Tina Mahal, senior director of marketing at Frito-Lay, a division of Pepsi.

The promotion, which runs through July 4, also includes novelty packaging for Doritos, Cheetos, Fritos and other Frito-Lay chips. For these products, the bags will reveal hidden images when exposed to sunlight.
