Summer fruit packaging for Seald Sweet’s Kiddie Clems line of clementines is now in markets. The easy-to-peel, kid-friendly clementine’s new packaging sports bright and colorful graphics — designed to appeal to children. The launch follows the successful design for the company’s Mandarina’s brand sweet Mandarins, introduced in the summer of 2014.

The Kiddie Clems label features a character from the Mandarina’s brand along with a new character. The two smiling children each embrace a large clementine. The Kiddie Clem label also sports the tagline, “Tiny Treats for Tiny Sweets.”

The Vero Beach, Florida-based company said it hopes the packaging will encourage children to eat more fresh produce.

Peter Anderson, Seald Sweet’s imported citrus category manager, said:

“Consumption of this fruit continues to increase every year. Retailers continue to grow their clementine business and many have responded very favorably to this new label. It is bright, colorful and attractive, and it stands out on the shelf at the store level.”

The Kiddie Clems packaging will be available through September, while the Mandarina’s packaging will be available from August to October. Both brands will be available from November through April, during Seald Sweet’s winter easy-peeler programs.
