North Carolina-based MetroTech Automotive has redesigned the case and bottle packaging for its First Place Finish Car Care kit.

The kit contains five products: exterior renewer, suds-less fabric cleaner, vinyl and leather conditioner, car wash concentrate and water-based tire dressing. The kit comes packaged in a leather case designed by Consortium 360, a Kentucky-based marketing company.

TricorBraun designed the kit’s octagonal 12-ounce PET bottle. The new bottle packaging features raised ribs for a better grip. Atlantic Packaging teamed up with TricorBraun to create the bottle’s silver and black shrink sleeve labels.

MetroTech Chief Financial Officer Steve Kessel said:

“We have had the same brand graphics and packing for more than 15 years. The car care kit packaging had an industrial look. That look was intentional, since we were dealing with cars—products made with steel and chrome. But this year we decided it was time to target our line more closely to the buyers of the upscale cars we are targeting.”

Metrotech said it has received positive feedback from consumers since introducing the new design last year.
