UK-brand Batiste has introduced vibrant new designs for its dry shampoo bottle packaging. International brand design agency bluemarlin created the designs to guide consumers through Batiste’s recently expanded line of hair care products.
The bottle packaging needed to express Batiste’s mission to provide quality beauty care that makes hair feel “instantly transformed.” The patterns feature several design surprises, reflecting the quirky personality of the brand and encouraging consumers to take a closer look. The cherries on one shampoo design are actually pairs of lips. The bottom halves of tropical flamingos turn into martini glasses. Some of the petals on the floral bottle are also flip-flops. The lotus flowers on the oriental bottle bloom into swans.
A white banner displays the Batiste name in a retro, cursive font. The designers incorporated a wide range of graphics and colors to distinguish one product from the next.
Batiste Dry Shampoo is sold by a number of major retailers across the US, including CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Walmart, and even clothing stores like Urban Outfitters and Charlotte Russe.
