Singer and actress Ariana Grande has announced her debut fragrance. Named, ‘ARI by Ariana Grande’, the perfume features luxurious and modern packaging.
Its bottle has a multi-faceted, gem-like shape and rose gold accents. The perfume shows through, giving the bottle a light pink appearance. The bottle includes a removable white pom-pom. The design choices—from the feminine bottle to the playful pom-pom—were chosen to reflect the singer’s personality.
This modern packaging is similar to that of the recently launched Norman Norell New York fragrance. A step above gem-like, the limited edition Norell perfume comes in Baccarat crystal. Nods to luxurious materials like crystals and gems are not uncommon in fragrance packaging. A recent report states that cosmetics and fragrances make up 43 percent of luxury goods sales and expects these categories to experience increased revenues.
The ARI carton features a gold, art deco pattern trimming that complements the bottle. The lavender carton features a black and white portrait of the star. The fragrance name appears across the photo in lavender text. Grande’s signature also appears on the box.
Grande partnered with LUXE Brands to create the fruity scent, which has notes of florals, musks, woods and a hint of marshmallow. LUXE Brands partnered with creative agency BBH (Bartle Bogle Hegarty) Los Angeles to produce the advertising campaign.
