A report from the Chicago-based market research firm IRI reveals that the overall consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry remained stagnant last year, with growth in dollar sales being driven by price inflation.
However, IRI’s “Private Label & Nutritional Brands: Dialing In on Core Shoppers” shows a positive outlook for private label packaging in 2015.
IRI’s report says that 80 percent of respondents feel that retail brands offer as good of better quality than national brand competitors.
