Tetra Pak has introduced an improved version of its sterile packaging for dairy products. According to the company, the new Tetra Evero Aseptic carton bottle has a new barrier material made of high-density polyethylene.
Tetra Pak said that the bottle’s flat side panels make the carton easy to hold, while its injection-molded plastic top allows for easy pouring. The bottle’s 30-degree printable surface allows for various designs with strong shelf appeal, according to the company.
Vice President Lars Bengtsson said:
“Our product development activities are focused on helping customers respond to changing consumer demand and take advantage of new business opportunities. The new version of Tetra Evero Aseptic will help dairy producers expand their offering to more dairy drink categories, like vitamin enriched milk or soy milk, using the same packaging and processing machines.”
According to the company, the Tetra Evero Aseptic can be used to package a variety of dairy beverages including ambient white milk, dairy alternatives, flavored milk and baby milk. Italian dairy company Granarolo has already trialed the bottle for Accadi, its new line of vitamin-enriched lactose-free milk.
