The Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) is offering two educational programs that are a must for anyone involved in packaging and labeling – from beginner to veteran. The two-part FSMA Final Rules Webinar Series will take place on September 11 and 22 and on November 12 and 13. Its Food Labeling Workshop: Complying with Regulatory Requirements for the Labeling of Packaged Foods is a two-and-a-half-day program that runs from September 15 to 17 in Washington, D.C.
For the former, series passes and à la carte registration are both offered. The Food Labeling Workshop is currently sold out but the Registration page offers access to a waiting list.
The ‘FSMA Final Rules Webinar Series’ will clarify the FDA’s final rules versus the original proposals, and highlight the requirements for compliance. The GMA recommends that anyone who oversees their company’s food safety system should attend, as well as food safety lawyers, general counsel and other legal and government affairs representatives.
The Food Labeling Workshop provides participants with the fundamentals of labeling throughout the product lifecycle. It offers resources, tips and techniques for labeling food and beverage products regulated by the FDA, as well as meat and poultry products regulated by the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
Recently, the GMA participated in Chief Packaging Officer’s webinar titled, “FDA Nutrition Label Rule Changes: Prepare Today for Success Tomorrow.” A complementary recording of the webinar is available.
