FMI Connect will take place June 8-11 at South Hall, McCormick Place in Chicago. The food retail industry event is designed for wholesalers, merchandisers, operations people, CIOs and CTOs. The event’s conductor, the Food Marketing Institute, says that FMI Connect’s ultimate goal is to motivate “one more family meal.”
New or expanded features in 2015 include Meet and Learn Power Hours, the FMI Tech Bar and Connect Business Exchange (CBX)—a meeting scheduler and forum for meetings between attendees and suppliers. Also new this year, Italy has been named the first‐ever “host country” of FMI Connect. The first‐ever Italian trade pavilion will feature more than 50 Italian food and beverage companies.
This year’s workshop tracks include Focus on Fresh, Health & Wellness at Retail, Private Brands Summit, Retail Innovation & Technology, Insights for Independents and International Perspectives.
The 2015 keynote speakers are U.S. Navy F-14 Fighter Pilot Carey Lohrenz, Food Marketing Institute President Leslie Sarasin and CBS Sportscaster Greg Gumbel.
FMI Connect registration also includes access to the International Floriculture Expo (IFE), Sabor Latino Latin Food Show, United Fresh, U.S. Food Showcase and InterBev Beverage. These additional FMI events take place the same week as FMI Connect: FMI Future Leaders @Connect, FMI Private Brands Summit @Connect and FMI Foundation Retail Food Safety Forum.
