Daisy Sour Cream has released Daisy Squeeze, a flexible packaging pouch with a flip-top closure.

The blue polypropylene closure features a dispensing valve and tamper-evident pull ring. The package was designed to dispense sour cream only while the consumer is squeezing it. AptarGroup supplied the closure, which was designed to provide easy and clean dispensing. Daisy partnered with Continuum to create the structural design of the package.

Daisy Director of Marketing Craig Ziemkiewicz detailed several benefits of the new packaging: it cuts back on waste, is ideal for topping foods, prevents contamination from spoons and food, provides better value than other squeeze packages and is easy-to-use, even for children.

Ziemkiewicz said the new product is the same as the one in the original Daisy Sour Cream cups, so it can also be found in the dairy cooler.

According to Daisy, a Facebook announcement about the package has received more than 25,000 likes and comments since August 19.
