As an official partner of this year’s TEDxChicago event, Esko will be showcasing the latest apps and technologies for packaging on May 1st, 2019 from 1-6pm. TEDx events are known for bringing people in local markets the opportunity to get together to share a TED-like experience. The event is designed to spark discussion and connection, pushing boundaries, asking attendees to engage and think differently.
This year’s TEDxChicago theme is “Press Pause.” The theme focuses on the speed: information, technology, communication and transportation are moving at a rapid rate. The extremely fast pace challenges us to consider what would happen if we fall behind? Will we fail if we take a break?
With the increased speed (and pressure!) at work, Esko technology looks to alleviate stress and even the pace with automated workflows that helps teams do more with less. Our technologies spark creativity and provide marketers and designers the opportunity to bring their packaging visions to life in hyper-realistic (3D) settings without leaving their office.
Esko will feature the following technologies at TEDxChicago:
Esko Store Visualizer
Since products must perform in many different environments, it’s helpful to get a sense of how a design will perform in the different scenarios where consumers will see it. Using VR goggles, attendees can walk inside a virtual store, and pick-up and maneuver products to get a sense of what may give a product a competitive edge in a given environment. Product Page
Esko Studio Viewer App
Using their phone, an attendee can place AR trackers in various environments and view how the product would look on the pantry shelf, in the refrigerator, and even as a “lifestyle” shot. This understanding of how consumers interact with brands in everyday life is normally not available until the testing phase, much farther along in the process. iPhone | Android
Pantone Studio App
You never know where inspiration will strike, and you always want to be ready for it. The Pantone Studio app helps translate the world around you in Pantone colors. By simply using their own mobile device’s cameras, attendees can snap pictures of their surroundings and create Pantone color palettes that can be sent directly to others. iPhone
