Ecover, the world’s largest green cleaning company, has launched new plant-based packaging for its home care line. Ecover selected Sonoco as its packaging manufacturer. The two companies created a blow-molded Plantplastic bottle, made of bio-sourced, high-density polyethylene and post-consumer recycled resin

.
Its creation uses up to 90 percent less energy than petroleum-based resin and emits 75 percent less greenhouse gases, making the plant-based packaging a much more sustainable means of embodying the company’s goal.

Andrew Moreno, procurement director of Ecover North America said:

“We feel this new line of packaging will help Ecover reach more consumers while continuing to be deeply rooted in nature-based science.”
