The recent usage of new corrugated shelf-ready packaging technology by a leading UK ground coffee supplier demonstrates a rising trend in the industry. The Taylors of Harrogate company chose the packaging as part of a rebranding effort. The objective was to increase on-shelf visibility while making handling and organization easier for retailers. Matt Hunt, packaging buyer of Taylors’, told Packaging Europe that the strategy works because:

“Research shows that if shelf-stackers can’t readily identify a particular product back of store, then they’re likely not to bother to go looking for it because of pressure on time. The result is slow or non-existent replenishment.”
