Perrier® Sparkling Natural Mineral Water has released new designs for its “Inspired by Street Art” collection. Designed by contemporary French artist, L’Atlas, the cool packaging designs decorate Perrier’s bottles and slim cans.

“Perrier is a brand that is part of my history, as it is for millions of people all over the planet,” L’Atlas said. “Teaming up with Perrier means vastly expanding my means of expression and my capacity for universality.”

The limited edition packaging illustrates L’Atlas’ signatures style of sprawling, geometric designs. The packaging designs will be featured on Perrier’s 750-, 330- and 200-mililiter glass bottles, as well as the one and 0.5-liter PET bottles and 250-milliliter slim cans in original, pink grapefruit and lime varieties.

The partnership between the water brand and graffiti artist will continue throughout Fall 2015. They plan to create a series of global art installations together.

Several food and beverage brands have employed outside designers to create limited edition packaging. Graphic design students created cool packaging for Nescafé’s limited edition collection of Azera coffee tins. Bud Lite appointed 27 artists to create unique can designs for its Mad Decent Block Party promotion. According to Bud Light Vice President Alex Lambrecht, limited edition, artist-designed packaging targets Millennials, who desire a “unique and unexpected experience.”
