Medea Vodka’s new packaging technology will soon be sending valuable consumer data directly to the company.
Later this spring, Medea will be releasing a mobile app to go along with its new Bluetooth-enabled bottles. From the app, users will be able to program custom messages into the bottle’s LED banner. By registering and using the app, consumers will provide the company with useful data, including location and email address. Additionally, Medea will be able to tell when a bottle is shared with another person.
“Basically, we are creating the understanding of who is involved in sharing this great gift,” said Brandon Laidlaw, Medea chief operating officer. “But the important thing is the technology and allowing the users to interact with the bottle.”
The Bluetooth-enabled bottles will be on display at the 2015 Nightclub & Bar Convention & Trade Show in Las Vegas, March 30-April 1, and will go on sale in late May.
